Acoustic Folk-pop with Warmth and Presence

Singer-songwriter Marianne releases new music that can be described as acoustic folk-pop with a soft and warm sound. The songs are shaped by organic arrangements where acoustic instruments and vocal harmonies take center stage, creating a vivid setting that highlights both lyrics and melodies without feeling overproduced.

“What I like most is the warm and vibrant framing the songs have received. I’m especially happy with how beautifully the acoustic instruments and vocal harmonies highlight the lyrics and melodies without it feeling overproduced. It was such a special feeling to step into the studio and see how quickly the song grew and truly took shape during those hours.”

The musical expression is described as harmonious and personal, where multiple instruments together build a sound with both depth and simplicity, while maintaining an intimate feel.

A Living and Intuitive Creative Process

Marianne’s songwriting has developed naturally and intuitively over a long period of time. She often works from a feeling, where a melody, a phrase, or an inner impulse can spark the entire process. Some songs come quickly, while others are allowed to grow over time. Her writing is characterized by curiosity and a playful approach to words, where the process itself guides the direction rather than a fixed goal.

“I love playing with words and testing how sentences fit together. I don’t always know what the goal of the song is – it reveals itself along the way. It’s incredibly exciting and fun, and afterwards I always feel a great sense of relief and satisfaction.”

The recording at KMR Studios was her first real studio experience and is described as both safe, educational, and inspiring. There, the songs quickly developed in collaboration with musicians and production, taking on their final form.

“The strongest memory is definitely the very first session. We started at 10 in the morning, and when we finished at 5 p.m., the first song was essentially complete.”

From Vision to Final Composition

After a long period of work, Marianne is now ready to release her music. The process has been both intense and rewarding, and the feeling of putting a final point to the songs is described as both relieving and exciting.

“It feels like an enormous relief, but also very exciting and joyful. It’s a special feeling to finally dare to put a full stop, let go of the songs, and trust that they are finished just as they are.”

She now looks forward to sharing her music with a wider audience and is curious to see how the songs will be received and where they will land with listeners. The driving force behind the release has always been a long-held dream of recording and releasing her own music—something that has now become a reality.
