Siddhi J Sundt
With a tone moving between classical and contemporary expression, Siddhi J Sundt invites the audience into a musical landscape where stillness meets motion. “Music comes from inner silence. When you listen to it, the music comes by itself,” he says — letting every note become an extension of presence, balance, and human connection.
From a Childhood Gramophone to a Lifelong Search
Siddhi J Sundt describes his relationship with music as something that began long before he could understand it. At the age of three, he danced to Tchaikovsky and Brahms, played on the family’s old travel gramophone. Those spinning records awakened a deep joy and curiosity — a spark that would later define his life’s path.
Over the years, music became more than passion; it became a way to understand the world. His classical studies in composition formed a foundation for a broad musical identity where intuition and technique coexist. But for Siddhi, creation is not merely a craft — it’s a state of being.“To make music is like being at the intersection between relaxation and focused awareness. The musical flow arises in the same degree as relaxation deepens.
”This inner experience of music, rather than outward performance, has always been central to him. Siddhi explains how this balance of calm concentration deepens the encounter with the listener — where the truth of the music becomes mutual, and the audience feels safe, relaxed, and present.
A Musical Language of His Own
As both composer and musician, Siddhi refuses to be confined to a single genre. He writes tonal and atonal works, uses twelve-tone technique as well as pop- and jazz-inspired forms — always with one aim: to communicate.“I try to write in a language that is at least partly understandable to an audience.”Within that span — between the accessible and the exploratory — his expression takes shape.
His music can be serene or complex, meditative or rhythmic — but always focused on humanity and presence. For Siddhi, music is about awakening something in others: a sense of recognition, a reminder of what we share.“I have always wished that music would make people see the human being.”His artistry carries traces of both classical discipline and intuitive joy, where improvisation and structure coexist. The creative process often takes place in silence — a silence that gives birth to tones rather than being filled by effort.
Music, Encounters, and Meaning
When Siddhi speaks of his studio work, he talks about the balance between pressure and ease. “Working in the studio can be stressful, but at KMR it’s easy to relax,” he says, describing an environment that helps him capture music as it feels — not just as it sounds.
For him, the greatest reward isn’t applause, but connection.“The most joyful thing is when you get a response to your music. Then you know you’ve made an impression.”That meeting — between creator and listener, between silence and sound — is the core of Siddhi J Sundt’s musical philosophy. Each new composition is an attempt to return to that moment when music is born out of silence.
With his upcoming release "Autumn Breathing", he hopes to reach more listeners who share his view of music as something greater than entertainment — a path toward presence and human contact.
