Simon Forslund has always had music in his life. As a young child, around seven years old, he put together his first concert for the entire family – an early sign of his passion and drive in the musical world. For Simon, music has never been a choice but rather a natural part of his existence. When he reflects on his first or most vivid memory of music, he finds it difficult to point to a specific moment, as music has always been present. It has been a constant in his life, a way to process emotions and reflect on the world around him. The presence of music has always been a natural part of his life, which explains why he has continued to create and write music throughout his upbringing.

When Simon Forslund creates music, he draws primarily from his own experiences and emotions. For him, songwriting is a way to process what’s happening in his life, and often music becomes a way to express feelings and thoughts that are otherwise difficult to articulate. Simon describes his music as organic Swedish pop songs – genuine and close to the heart. The songs often take on a life of their own, where every note and word has its place to convey a deeper meaning. This honesty and intimacy with himself make Simon's music unique, and it truly comes from the heart. It’s this sense of authenticity and personal connection that allows the listener to feel deeply moved by each song.

Writing music is something Simon Forslund truly loves, but it's in the studio that he feels the real creation comes to life. When working on the production of his songs, especially with KMR, he values the freedom and support he receives from the team. While songwriting is the creative and emotional process, Simon feels that the technical and administrative work that follows is more like a "job." By collaborating with KMR and handing over some of these responsibilities, he can focus on what he loves most – creating the music. The future looks bright for Simon, and he hopes to be able to tour across Sweden within a year, meeting his listeners and spreading his music to even more people.
