Music entered Ulf Enhörning’s life at an early age. At eight years old, he heard The Beatles on the radio while sitting in the family’s Chevrolet in Los Angeles – a moment that left a lasting impression. A few years later, a new world opened up when, as a teenager, he learned his first A chord on the guitar.

Ulf has continued creating ever since. He wrote his first original song, Mr Fear, at the age of twenty, and over the years, his body of work has grown to include more than fifty songs and an equal number of instrumental pieces.

Ulf Enhörning writes melancholic, melodic, and deliberately simple Swedish and English-language ballads, with clear influences from Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and The Beatles running throughout his musical expression. Melody and emotion are what guide him, with the ambition of finding that song you want to hear again and again. For Ulf, music and visual art are closely connected as ways of expressing emotions, vulnerability, and things that can otherwise be difficult to put into words.

Over the past fifty years, Ulf has accumulated dozens of songs shaped by themes of longing, love, questions about life, and power. With today’s music production software, he sees great opportunities to continue developing his material, although the abundance of creative possibilities also brings new challenges when it comes to making choices and finding direction. The release of Three Ballads is therefore more than just another release – it marks a new chapter in an artistic journey that has developed slowly and personally, with a clear focus on the songs themselves and their ability to stand on their own.
