Lecture at Rytmus Ambassador Meeting – From Hobby to Career in Music
In the fall of 2023, we at KMR Studios had the opportunity to visit the Rytmus Ambassador Meeting in Stockholm to inspire the next generation of musicians and creators. KMR’s founder and music producer Filip Killander, along with artist Simon Forslund, shared their knowledge on how to turn a passion for music into a sustainable career, as well as practical tools for reaching a wider audience with their music.
The lecture was divided into two parts:
Filip spoke about his journey from having music as a hobby to building KMR Studios and working professionally with music full-time. He covered the creative process, how to take music from an idea to release, and the many different opportunities available within the music industry.
Simon provided practical advice on how independent artists and producers can use digital platforms—especially TikTok—to reach a broader audience. He shared strategies, exercises, and mindsets to help music spread organically.
After the lecture, we held a Q&A session where we discussed everything from industry challenges to the participants’ own music projects. It was a truly inspiring day filled with creative conversations and visions for the future!
