In this case, I was supposed to be completely crushed. But I held on!” Niklas recounts. His diary entries became the foundation for the song, where he documented his struggle and determination not to be broken. “This will not be suppressed, pushed away, or forgotten. One beautiful day… I will be there. One beautiful day… it will be my turn”, he reflects. The process of creating “My Pain” was quick and natural for the band. “The song was just there all of a sudden. The form and arrangement came together quickly and naturally”, says Niklas. A special dedication goes to Bosse, whose enthusiasm and love for the song was a major source of inspiration. “Bosse, Bosse… How you cherished this! It became ‘your song’ right away. Musical enthusiasm with great love and care”, Niklas recalls.
