Two music studios under one roof
KMR Studios is located in the heart of Uppsala, next to the university building and just a stone’s throw from the cathedral. With two music studios tailored for a wide range of needs and our experienced technicians, there is no better place to turn to for help with music-related projects. In addition, we have two more studios: the photo studio and the podcast studio.
On this page you will find information about what sets the two rooms apart, and information about our music business as a whole. We can help you with everything from music production of individual instruments to entire music projects, supporting you from song idea to release.
Services in our studio rooms

Planning music projects
We believe in long-term working relationships without lengthy contracts. We offer assistance with every part of the creative process, from songwriting and recording to release and promotion. So you can focus on the music.
Order music production
You decide what should be produced and then we help you along the way. We can record with you on site in the studio, remotely, or at your location.
It’s what’s inside that counts
With four studio rooms, two of which are optimized for music creation, we offer professional support at an international level whether you are an experienced studio musician or planning your first cover recording. Everyone is welcome here.
Studio A is Uppsala’s first Dolby Atmos studio. It is one of the few studios in the world that has an Atmos room where it is possible to produce music in Dolby Atmos. Here you can feel confident that what you hear is the accurate image of your project. The microphones, instruments, and equipment are carefully selected to give your project the conditions needed to meet the high standards demanded by today’s music industry.
Studio B is designed to be a creative, efficient, and pleasant workplace for creative people of all kinds. Both experienced and beginners can feel welcome here—just like in all our studios. Studio B is a warm and inspiring place, with plenty of space, suited for recording vocals, music production, photography, songwriting, and intimate concerts.

Work with professionals
No matter the size of the project, everyone is assigned a project manager who ensures everything goes as planned. This applies to single sessions and album projects. We take deadlines, structure, and efficiency very seriously—which permeates our entire workflow. The project manager is often the person you will work most closely with here.
If you book time in Studio B or services in production, mixing, and mastering, it is likely Kasper Randler you will work with. With extensive experience working closely with artists and an impressive array of qualifications, Kasper guides you through the project in a way that both develops and inspires you.
If you book time in Studio A or services in mixing, mastering, post-production, Dolby Atmos, and larger music projects, it is Filip Killander you will work with. With years of experience working closely with artists and bands, he not only brings expertise but also creates a safe and inspiring atmosphere in the studio.

Dolby Atmos
We are one of few studios in Sweden certified to work in the audio format of the future, Dolby Atmos. We are also one of few studios in the world that deliver all production and mixing projects in Dolby Atmos. This means all our clients, big and small, always receive their projects in both stereo and Dolby Atmos. So far, we are alone in offering this at no extra cost.
