The journey from inspiration to finished song
The production process for “Shall We Dance” was both a labor of love and a test of patience. Dick found inspiration in testing different disco rhythms, resulting in a varied and engaging song. During recording, Ingbritt faced some challenges, including a bout of bronchitis that delayed the process. Despite these obstacles, the relief and excitement were immense when the recording, mixing, and mastering were finally complete. The duo loves being in the studio and seeing how a song develops, recording different instruments and hearing the music grow into a finished piece. This time, it was especially fun to see the rhythm come together, particularly the bass and drums that create a distinct “disco pressure”. Now, they eagerly await how the song will be received by the public and hope it will become a hit.
DBI’s musical journey and future dreams
DBI consists of the duo Ingbritt and Dick Björkman from Arvika, who have been actively making music in this group since 2020. Their musical journey began when they acquired a Boss Br1600 studio and Dick asked Ingbritt to audition with some cover songs. To their delight, it sounded better than expected, inspiring them to continue writing and creating their own music. Ingbritt’s lyrics are often inspired by her dreams, emotions, and experiences, while Dick draws his inspiration from the music he listens to and everyday events. Their music is a blend of personal and universal themes that resonate with listeners. With “Shall We Dance”, they hope to reach a larger audience and get people to appreciate their unique sound. For DBI, the most important thing is that their music can convey emotions and messages, and they dream of their songs being appreciated worldwide. With this new release, they are one step closer to realizing their dreams and reaching a broader audience.
