Murkfä releases new single “Different”
Murkfä blends bluesy rock with honest lyrics. His new single Different captures the feeling of not fitting in. “I really love the entire song – the tone, the lyrics, and the guitar solo,” he says. Different is now available on all streaming platforms!
A unique blend
Murkfä is an artist who blends bluesy rock tones with introspective lyrics, creating music that resonates deeply. His songs often explore the feeling of being different or an outsider, a theme that runs through his latest single. The song took shape in late December, starting with a playful guitar riff that quickly developed into a full composition.
“I wrote the lyrics and recorded a demo pretty fast, which is unusual for me. Normally, I like to let my songs marinate for a while, but this one felt right immediately,” Murkfä explains. “I was a bit worried about whether we would capture the right feeling, but the song grew naturally, and now I’m 100 procent happy with it.”
Bluesy, rock-infused, and full of energy
The new single “Different” carries a sense of freedom and energy, with a sound that is both rock-driven and blues-inspired. The guitar riff brings a dynamic feel that Murkfä hopes to perform live in the future. “It would be great to hear this live, either played by me or someone else,” he says.
In the fall of 2024, Murkfä released the singles When Death Comes Crawling, Somewhere and Bring Me A Memory, establishing himself as an exciting voice in Sweden’s alternative rock scene. His music is characterized by strong melodies and lyrics that reflect both personal and universal experiences.
“I really love the entire song – the tone of the instruments, the lyrics, and of course, the guitar solo,” says Murkfä. “I hope that someone out there appreciates the lyrics, and it would be amazing if others connect with the song the way I do.”
