“En gång fanns ett du och jag” can best be described as a soft and stripped-down singer-songwriter song. Heléne describes the song as “pleasant to listen to and absorb.” The song embraces the listener both through its sound landscape and its beautiful, vulnerable lyrics.

When we asked Heléne how it felt to record the song, she said: “It came to me faster than any other song before, and it felt ‘ready’ quite early, simply an obvious song.” What Heléne found most enjoyable in the creative process was fine-tuning the lyrics and recording the vocals. It’s during this phase that she refines how the emotions should be expressed and brings them to life.

A Comfort for Others
