Somewhere

Murkfä describes his new sound as “feel-good rock,” and it shows. The idea for “Somewhere” was born during one of Murkfä’s many runs. “The song probably started as a melody during a run, which I then wrote down and continued to develop,” he shares. This creative process, where music and movement go hand in hand, shaped the song over months of training and creative flow. Recording it in the studio was a cool experience for Murkfä, who felt the song took on a completely new form. “Even though it’s pretty much like my demo, it sounds entirely different when everything falls into place in the soundscape. It’s wonderful to finally hear it for real.”

Murkfä is both a guitarist and a songwriter, and it shows in the well-thought-out structure and attention to detail in “Somewhere.” “I’m quite happy with the guitar solo as well. It’s not overworked, it just fits,” he says with a smile. The lyrics are both simple and engaging, telling a story of searching for something that may never be found.
