The song was recorded, mixed, and mastered at KMR Studios.

Exploring a New Sound

The song was written in the winter darkness at the beginning of 2023, starting with the title “Skin and Bones.” “I thought it would be a good name for a song, so I wrote the music, verses, and chorus around the title.”

Mattias believes it has been an incredible journey to see the song grow and develop into something unique and different from his previous music. “It has allowed me to challenge myself and explore a new sound. Being able to present a new side of my music has felt liberating and inspiring.”

A Powerful Composition Reaches Its Full Potential

“Skin and Bones” is a classic composition where the elements build up to a powerful crescendo in the final chorus. Both we and Mattias agree that the last minute of “Skin and Bones” is where the song reaches its full potential and blossoms. All the elements intertwine in a fantastic way, and we can’t get enough of it.

When we asked Mattias Hoffert what he is most looking forward to with the song release, he replied, “I always stick to releasing songs that I personally think are good, even if they may have different styles and expressions.
