On January 21st, Christian Bruzelius releases his first song “Locker” at KMR Studios! It’s a groovy soul-pop track with a nostalgic pop touch and soul-inspired sound!
From one day to another, Christian went from not having any intention of writing something new to suddenly having a nearly finished song. Christian describes how he walked past the piano at home, had a sudden feeling, and sat down to play. A few minutes later, Christian was singing what would become the chorus of “Locker.”
Shortly after, he completed the basic arrangement of the song and finished writing the lyrics. The song’s sound transitioned from somewhat soulful to more pop-oriented during the project, and Christian describes the lyrics as shallower and simpler than what he usually writes. Something that he felt matched well with the chorus that was set from the beginning.
We asked Christian if he has a favorite part of the song, and he replied: “I like the part with the hand claps and cowbell! It adds an interesting dynamic to the song as a whole, and it will be so much fun when we perform the song live and involve the audience!”
“A very positive experience! Filip is genuinely engaged and driven, and you can tell that he truly loves what he does. Besides, he’s very skilled at it.”
