Miljoner

“Millions” is a project carried out remotely in different studios and home studios. The rap vocals were recorded at KMR Studios in Uppsala by Filip Killander, the vocals were recorded in Söderhamn, and the instrumental production is by producer Filip Frid. Somehow, it all came together to create a finished song!

We interviewed Dennis about the song:

“The chorus of the song came about in 2018 when a friend was releasing a song and recorded vocals in a basement where we ended up having an afterparty. During that party, we ended up just sitting there jamming. After that, there was a thorough and prolonged process of working on the lyrics, which went through several changes before finally becoming the finished product it is today.

I have always enjoyed creating, but this is the first song that I have actually completed, so it means a lot to me.

The song is based on personal experiences, so the thoughts and phrases in the song are drawn from my own life. It’s a story about a tumultuous time in my life, where I eventually found ‘the right one.’ The anxiety that I think others can relate to is the desire to be good enough for that ‘right person’ and being willing to give everything, even though that person already has everything.

‘You know that I don’t have millions’ is both a literal statement but also something bigger that symbolizes, ‘I have nothing, you have everything, what do you see in someone like me?'”
