The Feeling and Music in Reflections

Nadja Eriksson’s first EP is clearly influenced by vibrant melodic pop, while also incorporating elements of symphonic instruments. The artist describes how, as a musician and songwriter, she wants to be a messenger conveying real emotions, images, and life events, which she particularly accomplishes with this musical collection.

Nadja also states that at her age, she has gained a lot of life experience, both through herself and others, events, and thoughts that she reflects on and conveys in her songs. The songs in Reflections are characterized by catchy piano loops and tuneful melodies, each conveying its own relevant message.

“Whoever You Are” is about what one needs to navigate through life and dare to live the life one desires. The lyrics partly speak about needing a “shield for protection, courage for decisions, and an angel for patience.”

“All Of That Joy” is an entertaining and joyful song that originated from “a good morning,” when the artist felt immense gratitude for everything she has, her health, and the sheer joy of the music within her. With the song, she wants to emphasize that gratitude is something we all need to practice feeling and expressing more.

“Don’t Go Back,” a song the artist feels a special connection to, expresses the courage to leave difficulties behind. It highlights the considerable amount of courage it takes to walk away from something familiar and well-known that doesn’t make one feel good

A Work Driven by Passion and Determination

Nadja describes the process of recording Reflections as “filled with desire, inspiration, and striving,” while also acknowledging a sense of apprehension about reaching her goals. The artist has been the driving force in the production of the EP, as she wrote, arranged, played, and sang the songs on her own. She finds it to be a good feeling to have control over the entire process, yet acknowledges the challenge it presented.

Now, Nadja Eriksson hopes that listeners will enjoy the groove of the EP “Reflections,” available on all platforms starting today!
