Terese Bååth releases “My Babe”
“My Babe” is a bright and melodic pop single from Swedish songwriter and singer Terese Bååth – a feel-good track that makes you smile and sing along, while also leaving room for the bittersweet feeling of missing someone.
When pop music captures both joy and longing
“My Babe” is the new pop single from songwriter and singer Terese Bååth – a warm, catchy track where joy and longing go hand in hand. With a chorus that sticks instantly and lyrics that reflect the yearning for someone you hope to have back in your life, “My Babe” invites the listener to smile, remember and sing along. The song is created to bring energy and warmth, while also allowing the listener to reflect on someone they miss. “What I like most about My Babe is the joy I feel when I listen to it, but also that it allows you to miss someone if you want to.”
A personal song created at the piano
Terese Bååth wrote “My Babe” inspired by her own experiences and emotions. The song came from a spontaneous moment at the piano three years ago, with the purpose of feeling better through music. Together with producer and fellow songwriter Filip Killander, the piano-based idea was developed into a full pop production. The song was recorded, mixed and mastered at KMR Studios, where Terese describes the process as fun, challenging and relieving. The contrast between the bright, almost bubbly sound and the more melancholic undertone makes the song work both as feel-good pop and for more introspective listening.
