About the artist
Songwriter, artist and producer Filip Killander grew up in the small town of Halmstad (Sweden). Nowadays you can find the 29 year old working from KMR Studios in Uppsala.
Growing up he were listening to a lot of different types of music; Jason Mraz, Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Enter Shikari, Snook, Eminem, OneRepublic, to name a few. The common denominators being: lyrics, rhythm and emotion.
During the of summer 2019 he debuted with the upbeat and happy single "Carry ft. Frida Karlsson" which he followed up with a steady stream of singles and collaborations.
The highly anticipated debut EP "Changes" turned into a full length album and released on the 31st of July 2020 including the singles SIRENS!, SIGNS and HAPPINESS. These tracks together tell a story of loss, anxiety, the pain of changes and personal growth. The heartfelt lyrics and the dreamy pianos together with distorted bass and drums is a big part in what makes Filip's sound so unique.
Spring 2021 Filip released the alternative-rock singel "Let It Out" in spring 2021 which introduced acoustic drums and a screaming guitar solos to the sound we associate with the artist. Exciting to say the lest. He've since then also featured on numerous artistis songs and albums during 2021, often as part of the collaborative work Filip does as producer at the indie record label KMR Studios.
Turning our eyes to 2022, Filip Killander is yet again ramping up for what looks like another release.
About the producer
During the summer of 2019 Filip Killander started what later would become KMR Studios. The main focus of the company have always been on helping artists, songwriters and musicians to create and release music. Today Filip work with planning and executing music projects with artists in KMR's studio in Uppsala. Projects can range from recording an album, live music, photo and film.
