Filip Killander

"I rather focus on the experience than anything else. If it sound exciting - it's exciting. When I produce, write or record I always strive to create something that I haven't heard before."

Alternative Indie-Pop

Growing up Filip Killander listened to a wide variety of music; Jason Mraz, Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Enter Shikari, Snook, Eminem, OneRepublic, just to name a few. With the common denominators undoubtedly being: lyrics, rhythm and emotion this music helped shape Filip's unique sound.

Spending years working in the studio with artists in different genres Filip also developed an even greater appreciation for cross-genre-music which is especially apparent in his latest singles Fireworks and Forgive Yourself. The latter featuring a live strings and brass section together with a lo-fi inspired hip-hop beat and pop-fused vocals.

The Discography

During the of summer 2019 he debuted with the upbeat single "Carry ft. Frida Karlsson" which he followed up with a steady stream of singles and collaborations. The highly anticipated debut album "CHANGES" released on July 31st 2020 including the singles SIRENS!, SIGNS and HAPPINESS. The heartfelt lyrics and the dreamy pianos together with distorted bass and drums gave us a great introduction to the sonic world of Filip Killander.

Spring 2021 Filip released the alternative-rock singel "Let It Out" in spring 2021 which introduced acoustic drums and a screaming guitar solos to the sound we initially associated with Filip Killander.

In 2022 Filip Killander further expanded on his blend of electronic and acoustic music in the single "Fireworks" which released on the 15th of July 2022. Huge choirs and acoustic drums were fused with a pop-vocals and an otherworldly piano sound. The single got a lot of attention and was played frequently on Radio P4 Uppland. This was also his first single released in Dolby Atmos.

Continuing searching for new sounds, developing his sound and honing his skills as a producer Filip spent the following year creating a follow-up album to CHANGES. The project has no official release date but on Aug 31st the single "Forgive Yourself" was released which according to Filip is part of a larger musical project. The single features a live string and brass section, a full length music video, an incredibly cinema release at the music event "The Dolby Atmos (Music) Experience".
