The Path of Music – A Childhood Experience That Stayed

Heléne has always had a strong connection to music, and one of her earliest memories is from when, at the age of eleven, she accompanied her father to a church in Falun to experience Verdi’s Requiem. "It was an unforgettable experience with powerful instruments and sounds," says Heléne. Music has always been a part of her life, thanks to her musical family. Despite this, it wasn’t until she was 52 that Heléne wrote her first composition, Novemberkänsla, a tribute to her favorite month. The piece was premiered at Damkören Argentum’s autumn concert in Sala in November 2024, receiving a warm reception that inspired Heléne to continue developing her music.

From Classical Music to Ambient Worlds

Heléne draws inspiration from a variety of music styles. In addition to classical music, which she grew up with, she also has a fondness for artists like Depeche Mode and Enya. Novemberkänsla is a song influenced by ambient music, with a style reminiscent of Enya, creating an atmosphere of calm and anticipation. "The song is meant to be used as film music in a dramatic and imaginative genre," says Heléne, explaining that Novemberkänsla is designed to create an "intense calm" for the listener.

For Heléne, creating music is a way to express her emotions through melodies. "Being able to create music in a personal way feels amazing," she says. The collaboration with KMR in the studio to create Novemberkänsla was a unique experience. "KMR has truly elevated my music with their artistic and technical expertise," Heléne shares. Looking to the future, she dreams of hearing her compositions in films and other creative projects. "Hearing my music in a film would be a dream, and I look forward to sharing my music with the world."
