Discovered music at an early age

For artist and songwriter Oliver Zach, music is something he has always been drawn to and has always been a part of his life. The love for music has been a natural part of his life since childhood. He describes how songwriting took off from the moment he, as a child, grasped his first pen and learned to write. As Oliver grew older, his lyrics and ability to write music developed, and over the years, he has already written hundreds of songs.

His first memory of music was when he was 5 years old, sitting and listening as his father played the guitar, and deciding to write lyrics and sing along. The whole thing was recorded, and today Oliver can look back on that recording and be glad that his songwriting has evolved since then.

Drawing from events and reflections in his everyday life, Oliver writes personal lyrics. His sound is unique, distinctive, and characterized by catchy melodies and memorable lyrics. He himself listens a lot to 60s and 70s music. Bands and artists like The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Elton John, and Led Zeppelin are major influencers and have set the tone for the sound of his music.

The creative process

"It's fun to get an idea, get stuck on it, and then work on creating a song from it."

When creating music, Oliver says that you don't think about anything else but the music, and it's easy to get lost for hours. In the studio, you get to see how the song evolves as you add more instruments and effects. Oliver enjoys seeing the process of his ideas going from thoughts to finished songs, which is something all of us who have worked in a studio can relate to.

Ambitions for the future

The dream is to one day be able to make a living from music. Oliver loves creating and playing music, and it's something he has always dreamed of doing full-time. It's also important to him that his music has meaning for other people, to see that others appreciate and are moved by his music.

Since his debut with the single "Author of My Life" in the spring of 2022, Oliver Zach has continued to release singles. In early 2023, he released the two amazing singles "Changing" and "Hangover Sex," both of which once again showcase Oliver's incredible ability to transport us into his world.
