Ms Mia
Behind the artist name Ms Mia, we find Mia Gustafsson. She is a songwriter and singer who made her debut in the spring of 2021 with the dark R&B/soul single "Trippin'".
R&B and Soul
Ms Mia is an R&B and soul artist from Uppsala whose music leaves no one untouched. Her songs are built on strength, courage, and love, and Ms Mia wants others to feel the same emotions when they listen to her music.
Her upbringing was influenced by music, and while pioneers like Tina Turner and Chaka Khan played at home, Mia started singing in a choir at the age of nine. Gospel choirs, vocal classes, and the MTV era of the 90s shaped the music Mia would come to love and create later in life. Artists like Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, and Angie Stone have become important influences for Ms Mia in her own music creation.
After the debut
Since her debut single "Trippin'", Ms Mia has released six singles with us at Killander Music Records, and she continues to deliver amazing songs like her latest release, "In Chains".
