Retro-modern Country-pop
Mack Gibson is a pop and country artist from Uppsala who aims to translate memories and emotions into reality through his music. Mack Gibson grew up in a home where music had a prominent place. At the age of 11, he learned to play the guitar, and since then, music has been an integral part of him. Mack describes his music as a blend of older and modern music, where the modern feel of the melodies and the vintage quality of his voice come together to create what we now recognize as his signature style: retro-modern country-pop.
A career takes off
2021 was the year when Mack Gibson decided to start recording his own songs, and he turned to KMR Studios in Uppsala. Since then, a steady stream of singles has brightened our lives. On July 9, 2021, the young songwriter made his debut with "Nere på stan" (Downtown). It's an emotionally charged single about love and uncertainty. Since then, 10 more singles have been released, including "Inre Strid" (Inner Struggle), which Mack wrote and recorded together with Sandra Rozén and received frequent airplay on P4 Uppland during the autumn of 2022.
In addition to radio play and live performances, the singles have also garnered attention from curators and reviewers such as PopMuzik.
